From June 1st to 30th, the dance halls were occupied by us, a total of 35 times. Among them, the Grand Dance Hall had 11 sessions. The New Vogues Dance lessons was 8 of the sessions. The National Dance lessons was 4 of the sessions. The Town Hall had 4 sessions. The Latin dance lessons had 4 sessions. The English teaching was 4 sessions.
The most spacious and comfortable Granville Grand Ballroom has always attracted many dance lovers to join. President Dou and Vice President Yu came to the scene in person. They listened to the suggestions of the dance participants and continued to lay out dance music. They and the volunteers jointly operated this community venue which provides activities for the middle-aged and elderly.

New Vogues dance teaching is deeply loved by the majority of middle-aged people. The year-end dress ball was successfully held at the beginning of the month. The learning results of the students in the past three years were reported. On the basis of consolidation and improvement, the New Vogues Dance teaching was continued. Thumbs up for our teacher Wu.

The National Dance lessons was led by Teacher Wang Shu himself. There is an emphasis on stable movements, responding to songs of different styles and finding the sense of rhythm.

Latin dance teaching. Teacher Momo also teaches dance with all her heart. There are teaching materials for each class. There are demonstrations and matching movements. Dance videos are often replayed to continuously improve students’ learning skills.

On June 29, the “Multicultural Seniors Association” and the “Australian Russian-Chinese Friendship Association” held a volunteer activity day in Cabramatta at “Golden Palace Seafood Restaurant”.
Thank you to all volunteers. The head of the art troupe. For their hard work in various tasks. Award certificates were handed to outstanding retired volunteers. We highly regard the retired volunteers. And affirm and praise the contributions of all teachers.

Today, Vice President Yu presided over the event. First, President Ge spoke. He affirmed that our association has gone through hardships since 2012 and has come to where it is today. She praised President Dou for his diligence in opening a dance hall. He has achieved good results. The calibre of the art team is also constantly rising. The sailor dance team was also rebuilt. The team is growing. Our various activities are at the forefront of Sydney communities. Our website, finance, and accounting work have been transferred from handwriting to computer management. They have been recognized by the relevant departments.

《Multicultural Seniors Association》from May 1st to 31st, the exclusive dance halls of the Association held a total of 36 dances of various styles, including 3 additional dances on Tuesdays in the Granville Grand Dance Hall, 4 New Vogues Dance lessons, 4 Latin Dance lessons, 1 National Dance lesson, and 5 English classes.
The first focus is on the Granville Grand Dance Hall. President Dou and Vice President Yu Xiaoli are always concerned about it and work with volunteers in there every time. The managers and volunteers on duty also work hard, welcoming, smiling, serving and seeing off the dancers warmly.

New Vogues Dance class, teacher Wu Liwen patiently teaches by example, the students study hard, the manager Aileen Gu on duty, she cooperates well with the teacher, and the volunteers are serious and responsible, which makes the students in the teaching class very interested and always enthusiastic.

Granville Town Hall. Although it is an old dance hall, the association attaches great importance to it. The manager and volunteers work hard to keep the dance hall popular.

Latin dance class. Teacher Momo does her homework, distributes the syllabus before class, and plays back the video after class to deepen students’ memory and practice.

Now I recommend English classes to everyone. Teacher Jiuno is experienced and knows a little Chinese and Pinyin. It is rare for such a teacher to teach for free. I look forward to everyone’s participation in learning．

“Australian Russian-Chinese Friendship Association”
On May 19, the “Russian Easter” celebration was successfully held at the “Tiantian Seafood Restaurant” in Cabramatta. More than 320 attendees from different nationalities, different classes and different regions attended the event.
President Ge was the general planner of the celebration.

The celebration invited politicians and leaders of the community and brother associations. Dou Jiaxing, executive president of the “Multicultural Seniors Association “, was also invited to attend.

President Ge of the ” Australian Russian-Chinese Friendship Association” is a very good president, who led and planned this celebration. She personally introduced the guests among each other and took photos with them. At the same time, she also explained the lucky draw and gave the live translation during the event. She was busy with preparations and is an excellent leader who is loved by members.

The art team performed brilliantly, and the 12 programs were a feast for the eyes and received much applause.

After the performance, there was an egg-tapping game and a lucky draw, followed by a dance party. Everyone gathered together to dance and celebrate, pushing the celebration to its pinnacle.

President Ge personally went through various links from the beginning to end of the celebration, and even went to each table to greet and toast everyone regardless of the effort. She really is a good leader who is close to the people.

On May 26, President Ge led a group of members to the Russian Club in Strathfield to attend a lunch tea party. The club had a variety of singing and dancing performances, fashion shows, coffee, tea and pastries… It allowed everyone to have a relaxing and enjoyable weekend.

In addition to the club’s pastries and snacks, President Ge worked with Anna Song to handmake three exquisite pies and cakes to provide everyone with delicious food.

On May 11, President Ge led some members to the Russian Club Lidcombe venue to participate in the event.

Under the leadership of President Ge, the “Australian Russian- Chinese Friendship Association” has completed various tasks in an orderly manner, and home-based elderly care services have continued to achieve new results.

On June 7th from 10:00 to 11:00 am, Dai Le MP Federal Member for Fowler held a morning tea at Bambu Cafe, 226 Canley Vale Rd, Canley Heights. She thanked and commended the outstanding workers who have made excellent contributions to community service. Agathia Yingzhi Ge, president of the Australian Russian-Chinese Friendship Association and Multicultural Seniors  Association, was awarded the honorary title of Outstanding Worker, in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the Chinese-Russian Association and community work over the past 14 years. Her work achievements: emphasising regional features, serving and caring for the middle-aged and elderly, organizing various large-scale group activities and competitions, and showcasing interesting acts, showing the style of the times, and is deeply loved by the majority of middle-aged and elderly people. She works silently behind the scenes, selflessly dedicates and gives all her love to the community. She is a truly outstanding treasure.

From 10:30am to 3:00pm on May 19, 2024, the “Unity of Russian & Chinese Associations In Australia Inc” held a grand “Russian Easter” celebration at the Tiantian Seafood Restaurant in Cabramatta, to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus. He is the light and life of the world. At the same time, it is a symbol of happiness. It represents people’s good wishes and sharing the joy of the changing seasons. Today, we gathered more than 320 people from all walks of life from different classes, different nationalities, and different regions to participate in the event.

The celebration’s content was rich and colorful. There are beauties who presented us with the most precious Easter holy products (Kulich, eggs) and we witnessed interesting egg-tapping competitions. Lunch, watching shows, dances and lucky draws, the atmosphere of joy was everywhere.

The experienced and excellent president Ge Yinglan personally took charge. The entire event was well arranged from receiving guests to the show performance to the logistics support service; everything was in orderly and thoughtful. The art team shined, bringing infinite joy to the audience. It shows that cohesion and appeal play an increasingly important role in our middle-aged and elderly team.

New Vogues Dancing lesson. Teacher Wu Liwen teaches seriously and has a strong sense of responsibility, making the teaching class atmosphere lively and cohesive! Teacher Wu has worked hard!

Granville Town Hall old dance hall. The volunteers worked hard to do their job, and number of dancers kept as usual, so that hall still useful.

Latin dance teaching class. Teacher Momo taught the class sincerely and even played back the video after class to consolidate the students’ learning.

In addition, let me introduce our English teacher. Teacher Jiuno has 40 years of experience in teaching English. He can also speak some Chinese and Pinyin. His lectures are very good. (2) Australian Russian-Chinese Friendship Association recap of work in April.
Under the leadership of President Ge, the Friendship Association has a complete leadership team and board of directors, and all work is booming.
On April 7, President Ge was invited to participate in the Jiawu Year Australian Chinese Worship Xuanyuan Emperor Ceremony, and went on stage to offer gift and worship.

President Ge is the leader of Chinese-Russian Association descendants, and also a close friend of everyone, who always cares about the members. An old member was hospitalized due to illness, and President Ge personally brought people to visit him. Respecting the elderly is also an element of the home-based elderly care service for Chinese and Russian descendants.

Every Tuesday is a day for activities, and all work is carried out in an organised manner. Chef Wen Guang carefully prepares delicious meals for the elderly.

President Ge always pays attention to the wellbeing of the Chinese and Russian descendants member group and guides the members with positive energy.

On April 26, President Ge and other integral members were invited to participate in the National Day event held by the Chinese Consulate General in Sydney.

About good people and good deeds.

Information about the art team. First of all, we congratulate Nina Wang (Wang Yumei), the head of the Longfei Fengwu Dance, for being appointed as the general head of the MSA Cultural Art Dance Troupe.

On April 7 the Dragon-Flying-Phoenix-Wu team participated in the Jiawu Year ceremony of Chinese in Australia worshio Xuanyuan Emperor.

In addition, it is encouraged that the art teams of the MSA should send details to Association member group or inform the secretariat, after participating in community activities, in order to promote positive energy and expand the influence of the Friendship Association.

Years and seasons change. In the blink of an eye, it is already autumn. May the two Associations, under the leadership of President Ge and President Dou, unite and work together to harvest the fruits of autumn and make the two associations have greater development. President Dou and Vice President Yu insisted on being present every day to grasp the situation and solve problems in a timely manner. The busyness at the big dance hall has not diminished, the enthusiasm of the dancers has not changed, and the diligence of the volunteers has not changed, which has enabled the dance hall to develop steadily. With everyone’s efforts, the membership system of the MSA has been recognised by the dancers, and the number of members has reached 700.

New Vogues dance teaching class. Teacher Wu Liwen teaches well, the students work hard, and the dance class always maintains its level of popularity.

Granville Town Hall, although the old dance hall is limited by conditions, the volunteers are welcoming and do a good job of organisation, so that the old dance hall still keeps a certain number of dancers.

Latin dance class. Teacher Momo teaches passionately, and after each class, the video is played back to let the students review and master their skills.

The following is an introduction to the work content of the “Australian Russia-Chinese Friendship Association”.  In March, the “Australian Russia-Chinese Friendship Association” organized a variety of activities under the personal leadership of President Ge.  Activities included consolation performances, gatherings and outings, etc. All activities were interesting, happy and very popular. President Ge was invited to lead the team to the Adelaide New Xinjiang Club to participate in the celebration.

President Ge attended the meeting on behalf of “Australia Russia-Chinese Friendship Association” and actively sought free venues for activities.

President Ge took members to participate in the community’s Pension Week activities and presented gifts to relevant personnel.
The 30 members of the Shanshan’s Choir sang Australian national anthem “Advance Australian Fair” and received warm applause.

At the end of the month, President Ge was invited by President Lin Gang of Little Red Riding Hood to attend the Yang Ximing’s songwriting concert.

President Ge is constantly busy, and she shows concern about everything. When a member was sick in hospital, President Ge sent someone to visit and send greetings, so that the member could feel the warmth of the big family.

Finally, let’s take a look at English teaching. Teacher Jinuo is a skilful teacher, who can also do pinyin, and is patient and meticulous. We also look forward to more students learning English, improving and mastering their ability and skills to communicate with others.

On 10^th February, with the arrival of the Chinese New Year of the Dragon,  the two presidents congratulated the members on the new year.

President Ge’s New Year’s message.

On the 5^th February, the “Multicultural Seniors Association Inc” held a Chinese New Year celebration. President Ge delivered a speech for the celebration. The art team performed a wonderful dance show. Vice President Yu Xiaoli. Zhang Xiumei and volunteers. celebrated the festival together and had a delicious lunch together.  “Special Dance to Welcome the New Year” brings happy memories to everyone.

Look at the big dance hall. President Ge and President Dou, worked tirelessly and did everything possible to assist the dancers and members. President Dou was personally in attendance at every dance session. The leaders set an example and the volunteers worked together and contributed, thus making the dance hall look much better than the same period last year. Big improvement.

At the beginning of February, President Dou was admitted to the hospital due to physical discomfort, but he was still concerned about the work of the MSA Association. The work spirit and cooperative attitude displayed by all the volunteers were worthy of praise.

New Vogues dance training class. Teacher Wu Liwen is responsible, hard-working and patient when teaching. The cohesion among the training class is very high. The key members of the training class work hard to cooperate. The students are diligent and eager to learn. The atmosphere is harmonious. The dance steps are in harmony with the dance music, which is pleasing to watch. On 13^th February, the training class held a costume dance, and the dancers actively participated, elevating the dance. The activity was supported and affirmed by the MSA Association.

Australian Russian – Chinese Friendship Association,  President Ge sent a New Year’s message to everyone on the Chinese New Year.

President Ge and President Dou are thinking about the members, they are hands-on presidents. Activities organized in different forms during each festival, let members have fun. The fifteenth day of the Chinese New Year, the Australian Russian – Chinese Friendship Association also led the members to make dumplings to celebrate the Lantern Festival and had fun.

In terms of home care services. The Australian Russian – Chinese Friendship Association organizes senior citizens to participate in various activities in the activity centre every week. Volunteers are arranged to pick up participants by car. Also the chef is arranged to prepare lunch for them in various ways. The participants were very grateful. This month, President Ge personally led the team, they went to a nursing home to perform a condolence performance. Received a warm welcome.

On the 24^th February, President Ge and President Dou led a group of key members to participate in the Southern District Opera Spring Festival Gala to support the activity.

Beginning of the new year, nice people and good deeds add fantastic life to the Year of the Dragon.

Information about the cultural team activities. On 2^nd February, the “15th Sydney Oriental Spring Festival Gala” was held at the Hurstville Town Hall in the Southern District. The art teams affiliated with the MSA Association are: Long Fei Feng Wu Art Troupe, Mood for Love Art Troupe, Jacaranda Art Troupe, Bloom Fashion Art Troupe & Happy Art. The group participated in the performance.

The Year of the Dragon is here, may everything go well!  We truly believe that under the guidance of President Ge and President Dou, the two associations will exert the dragon-horse spirit, work together, and unite as one to leap forward and do all their work better! On February 5th, the Chinese New Year Festival celebration was held at the GRANVILLE Dance Hall. President Ge, Vice President Yu Xiaoli, Vice President Zhang Xiumei and all volunteers participated in the event. First, the host Yang Na sent blessings to everyone and announced the start of the special celebration, followed by President Ge’s speech. President Ge wished everyone good health in the new year! Happy life! Family fun! Then the artistic performance began.

Overview of New-Vogue dance training classes. At the year-end Christmas party, everyone has already seen the graceful New-Vogue dance performance. Under the leadership of teacher Wu Liwen, the volunteers and the dance class worked together tacitly to maintain the grandeur of the New-Vogue dance. On 16^th January, the number of people participating in the dance hit a high record.  Thumbs up for our excellent teachers!  Thanks to teacher Wu and the volunteers for their hard work!

The MSA instructor of the mobile phone class is Sydney Sister Ping, she has a flexible teaching method. She explains carefully to the students during class and provided guidance on taking video after class. We look forward to more students coming to learn and to master and improve their mobile phone skills.

In late January, the “Australian Russian – Chinese Friendship Association” held its second council meeting and started planning in advance for this year’s Easter.

President Ge is the leader of the two associations. She works tirelessly and personally arranges and participates in various tasks of the Friendship Conference.
On 12^th January, President Ge and four others went to the Russian National Association to learn about the traditional Russian cultural life.

Australian Russian – Chinese Friendship Association has prepared birthday cake and sends blessings to specific members every month, to celebrate their birthdays, bringing warmth to members and increasing cohesion. We are delighted that President Ge’s birthday is this month. We sincerely wish our friends who had a birthday this month a happy birthday! Health and longevity! May all your wishes come true!

Since Vice President Zhang Xiumei returned to Sydney last year, she has actively reorganized the sailor dance team. With her passion for dance, great enthusiasm and her unique charm, the team has continued to grow. In a short time, the team has performed in our Christmas party. Now the team is choreographing a new dance, using cheerful dance to show the temperament of different ages!

On 24^th January 2024, the “MSA Huayang Nianhua” art team held a New Year’s Eve Party at Marrickville Town Hall. Dances with national characteristics were choreographed and performed, catwalk, singing and dancing.  President Dou and two vice Presidents attended the performance as guests and praised the team for its wonderful and lively performance and for being an excellent and energetic team.

On 30th January, Vice President Zhang Xiumei and Secretary Tracy led the art team of the two associations to the Strathfield Library to participate in a charity performance. President Ge also went to the scene to visit all the performers, and the show was given warm applause by the audience.

In addition, the “Multicultural Seniors Association” will hold a special dance to welcome the Chinese New Year on February 5. Preliminary ticket sales and venue decorations for the day are in place. Lunch preparations are already in place. Thank you for your hard work, leaders and volunteers!

Time is passing and the Year of the Dragon is approaching in a blink of an eye. In the new year, there are new tasks waiting for us.
