General Report for January 2025

First of all, a warm congratulations to President Ge Yinglan for being appoint as the Honorary Advisor of the APCIICH Martial Arts Committee.

Secondly, congratulations to President Ge for receiving the government award. On January 26, 2025, Australia Day, Agathia Yin Lan Ge, Veia Shumin Xiao, Alia Zhang Lizhi, participated in the celebration of Australia Day held by the Fairfield Council. During the event, the Mayor of Fairfield issued honorary certificates to outstanding individuals and outstanding groups. Our President Ge was awarded the honorary title of the Annual Community Contribution Award.

This month celebrates the Chinese New Year. The association held three large-scale celebrations:
On the evening of January 7, a celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year was held at the Cabramatta Community Centre. The first event of the year was jointly organized between the “Australian Russian-Chinese Friendship Association” and the “Love Song Vocal Salon Art Troupe”.

From 1:00 to 4:00 pm on January 14, the “Multicultural Seniors Association” New Vogues Dance Training Class successfully held a grand “Cross-Year Costume Ball” at Auburn Town Hall to welcome in the Chinese Lunar New Year.
The New Vogues Dance Training Class opened with a performance of Rumba and Tango. The graceful dance showcased an elegant style. The Sailor Dance Art Team was heroic and charming.
During the event, they also sang a song “Friendship Forever” to convey deep friendship with their voices.
Colourful festive costumes, everyone was freely dancing in the celebration venue. In this ocean of joy, everyone smiled happily for a common goal. Healthy and happy.

From 9:30 am to 1:30 pm on January 24, 2025, the “Multicultural Senior Association” and the “Multicultural Elderly Association” successfully held the “Welcome Spring, Everything Will Be Well Every Year” dance banquet at the Granville Grand Ballroom at 1 Memorial Drive. This celebrates the arrival of the Year of Snake with songs and dances.
The celebration was lively and rich in content. There were performances, commendations, raffles, dances, and delicious lunches made by volunteers.
Thank you to President Ge and President Dou for carefully planning and arranging this event. Thank you to Headmaster Shanshan for the on-site report. Thank you to all the staff present for their selfless dedication to the success of the event. And the spirit of unity of all the members to achieve glory for the associations, thank you to all the group members for their wonderful performances.
