General Report for June 2024 (part 2)

From June 1st to 30th, the dance halls were occupied by us, a total of 35 times. Among them, the Grand Dance Hall had 11 sessions. The New Vogues Dance lessons was 8 of the sessions. The National Dance lessons was 4 of the sessions. The Town Hall had 4 sessions. The Latin dance lessons had 4 sessions. The English teaching was 4 sessions.
The most spacious and comfortable Granville Grand Ballroom has always attracted many dance lovers to join. President Dou and Vice President Yu came to the scene in person. They listened to the suggestions of the dance participants and continued to lay out dance music. They and the volunteers jointly operated this community venue which provides activities for the middle-aged and elderly.

New Vogues dance teaching is deeply loved by the majority of middle-aged people. The year-end dress ball was successfully held at the beginning of the month. The learning results of the students in the past three years were reported. On the basis of consolidation and improvement, the New Vogues Dance teaching was continued. Thumbs up for our teacher Wu.

The National Dance lessons was led by Teacher Wang Shu himself. There is an emphasis on stable movements, responding to songs of different styles and finding the sense of rhythm.

Latin dance teaching. Teacher Momo also teaches dance with all her heart. There are teaching materials for each class. There are demonstrations and matching movements. Dance videos are often replayed to continuously improve students’ learning skills.

On June 29, the “Multicultural Seniors Association” and the “Australian Russian-Chinese Friendship Association” held a volunteer activity day in Cabramatta at “Golden Palace Seafood Restaurant”.
Thank you to all volunteers. The head of the art troupe. For their hard work in various tasks. Award certificates were handed to outstanding retired volunteers. We highly regard the retired volunteers. And affirm and praise the contributions of all teachers.

Today, Vice President Yu presided over the event. First, President Ge spoke. He affirmed that our association has gone through hardships since 2012 and has come to where it is today. She praised President Dou for his diligence in opening a dance hall. He has achieved good results. The calibre of the art team is also constantly rising. The sailor dance team was also rebuilt. The team is growing. Our various activities are at the forefront of Sydney communities. Our website, finance, and accounting work have been transferred from handwriting to computer management. They have been recognized by the relevant departments.

Then President Dou came to the stage to thank all volunteers for their support for his work, and hoped that everyone would continue to work hard and reach a higher level.
