Today, Tuesday, 21st January,2020 from 1:30 to 5:00 pm, NSW Multicultural Seniors Association hosted a unique, disguised costume party in Auburn Town Hall. The band of the Association performed on stage, and the scene was very exciting, reflecting the lively scene of overseas Chinese like the people of the motherland singing and dancing to celebrate the festival. The red lantern at the venue were high, and the colored balls fluttered with joy and peace.
The Spring Festival dressing party kicked off with the national anthem of Australia! The dance “Gathering Together” brought by the Jasmine Art Troupe lit the rainbow of the festival. Following President Ge’s speech, summarizing the brilliant achievements of NSW Multicultural Seniors Association in 2019, she said: 2019 is an extraordinary year of harvest and an unforgettable year. And put forward the slogan of 2020: unity and struggle, continue to work hard for greater honor! After that, Mayor Cumberland Steve Christou and City Councilor Huang Yi delivered speeches. Chairman Li Songshi and Chairman Xu Yongqun also participated in the event. Mayor Cumberland issued the certificate to award directors and the head of the art group of Association, and took a group photo to record the new departure in 2020!
Under the influence of President Ge’s Bushfire disaster, the two presidents made a wise decision this time: change the “Festive Costume Masquerade party “to “Bushfire donation” and the tickets sold before and received on the day and gifts for each member to contribute to the front line Bushfire disaster. Help the firefighters and volunteers in the heat of Australia. This is a love dedication, a traditional virtue. Worthy of praise
