NSW Multicultural Seniors Association’s annual celebration of the successful conclusion of its fifth anniversary

Sydney, May 30 (Reuters) – The fifth anniversary of the meeting was held by the NSW Multicultural Senior Association (hereinafter referred to as “the Friends of the Union”) Dressing ceremony concluded in Sydney’s Malikville City Hall.  Australia’s new state legislator Wang Guozhong, Salvation Army town captain Lieutenant Zhou Bin, Metro Assist on behalf of Singh Tuling, Northeast Association President Cui Shangze, Union President Ge Yinglan and all members of the Union, members and nearly three hundred middle-aged Chinese and other ethnic groups participated in activities.

 

Ge Yinglan began the celebration with a welcome speech. She expressed heartfelt Thanks to guests and members whom attended this special event. She mentioned that through the 5 years since the Union was formed, the creation of 6 event venues via application to the local government for majority of middle-aged Chinese with no English language background and to help set up a free translation of letters, doctors appointment, Signature of the Gentleman

, Computer classes and other projects, not only to facilitate the elderly in the Australian life, but also reduce the burden of middle-aged friends’ children. In the fifth anniversary celebration, she thanked the NSW government and the sponsoring Chinese entrepreneurs for their help and support, and she hopes that the Association would be able to inject more positive energy to more middle-aged Chinese living in Australia in the nearby future, so as to create a healthy and happy living environment for them here.

Wang Guozhong said that he was honoured to be invited to attend the fifth anniversary celebration of the Friends of the Union and wished everyone Health during this Dragon Boat festival. He highlighted that 5 years ago, with just 10 members, the Union started with basically nothing. Bit by bit, we apply for funding from the government for activities/events. We’ve certainly came along to where we are today. He is very happy to see language is no longer a concern for so many elderly Chinese in Australia today. He hopes that Union will continue to carry forward the positive energy to help its members, serve more middle-aged friends in Australia, and hope that NSW governments can provide more support and help for Union.

 

Chairman of the Global Hakka Chongzheng Association of Australia Luo Hanhao made a speech

Chairman of the Global Hakka Chongzheng Association of Australia Luo Hanhao, Wang Weikhang, Singh Turing, Cui Shangze and other guests attended the event also came to speak, congratulating the Union on its fifth anniversary. They unanimously deliver their blessings for the Union’s future success in providing services and help to more Australian middle-aged Chinese people, enriching their lives.

During the celebration, Members of the union as well as art groups from major literary presented a wonderful feast for the guests. Of which, a unique cheongsam dance show, very traditional Chinese characteristics of the waist drum dance and double dance “Butterfly Lovers” butterfly, have won the audience of thunderous applause and cheers. There are also dressed in the celebration and Lucky draws. Participants felt rewarding and time well spent.

First meeting of the Preparatory Group for the Chinese-Russian Subsequent of Australia Cultural Preservation Association

The first meeting of the preparatory group for the Cultural Preservation Association of Chinese and Russian descendants in Australia was held in May 20th. The meeting began at 11:30 am,speech by the Australian government official Nick Lalich MP,  and Mr. Nick Lanlich highly praised our volunteers who had made for society’s selfless dedication. he represented the government support us to do the work for Chinese -Russian culture and support our contribution to the cultural heritage of the Chinese -Russia descendants. Western Sydney University doctor Genia introduced he made work for the Chinese-Russian descendants Cultural reservations for several years. And he expressed willingness to establish Chinese-Russian descendants Cultural Preservation Association Office under teacher Zhang Jinfu’s help and support. The VIP from China, the chairman of the board of Inner Mongolia Hulun Buir prairie – Baer group: Ms. Qu XiuqinQu Xiu support ed and praised that we can witness social and historical legacy. Xinjiang well-known painter Mr. Liu Kaiji also came to support our preparatory activities. Director GE conveyed to all the meeting about the help and support about Zhang Jifu to us. The meeting was held in a friendly and harmonious atmosphere. Every one prepared a variety of Russian pastries, Chinese dish, and Xinjiang barbecue for the meeting. Finally the art troupe of NSW MSA showed excellent performances for the conference. The conference finished successfully after group photos. Thanks again for the support and encouragement of Mr. Zhang Jinfu!

NSW MSA Autumn Tour In Orchard Park—— A Happy Day Tour

On the morning of 22, April, 2017, more than 60 members of NSW MSA went to Orchard Park happily by luxury bus. All of us felt comfortable and free, singing all the way to the park. There is beautiful scenery: blue sky, green mountains, clear river water, white boats, yellow and red trees. A lot of golden leaves were spread on the ground. What a beautiful autumn! All members liked this place. We were merged in a beautiful picture. Then we started a picnic with singing and dancing.

 

Our volunteers got here on the 9 am, they prepared everything for members: barbecue, cold dishes and fruits. Every activity our volunteers were busiest. The day before this day, Ms. Qi Meiyun, Mr. Wu Guiyun, Ms. Jiang Guiying, the wife of Lv Wei, Xu Yueli couple spent the afternoon to buy the food and tableware. Then they cut , sliced and stringed the meat. Too much food to prepare, Ms Yang asked her daughter come help. They are very good volunteers’ team. They gave members best service.

At 11:30 am , members had lunch. They enjoyed the delicious food. And Ms Qi Meiyun herself prepared beer for members and Ms Yangying and her husband prepared watermelon and orange for members.

After lunch, members began a spectacular autumn concert. Their wonderful singing and dancing attracted many tourists. Mr. Wu Guiyun played a nice tune on his harmonica. President Ge danced with the music. Mr. Zhang Zining taught us dance “Little Apple”. Everybody danced together. Vice President Hu sang a Hong Kong minor, very beautiful. Nearly eighty years Mr. Hai sang a northwest song .It was amazing. Mr.Zhang Zining andMr. Xu Yueli sang passionately, they got much warm applause. Everybody improvisational performance gave us unlimited joy. Ms Yao and her model show team were beautiful, they attracted every body. Their performance was a colorful picture.

 

There are many talented persons in NSW MSA. All the photos of this activity were from Mr. Ji’s shooting. In this activity there are many people from different nationalities. We have Chinese, British, Australians, new Zealanders, as well as Russian descents.

“I am responsible for planting seeds, you are responsible for harvesting happiness.” This was the common aspiration of our NSA MSA President Ge. This activity was planned and organized by President Ge, Vice President Hu, Mr Qi Meiyun, and Mr. Dou Jiaxing. In this activity members felt very happy.

In Australia there are many beautiful views and we will look forward tour together next time. Enjoy the blue sky, white clouds, green mountains and clear rivers. We will get more happiness in NSW MSA!

Six Avenues Of NSW MSA Part 2

New South Wales Multicultural Seniors Association has six avenues in Sydney. They are located in Cabramatta, Berala, Strathfield, Burwood, Marrickville and Redfern. Each avenue is seriously managed by volunteers. And there are many activities. Each avenue has own characteristics.

2. Berala Activity Center: Every Wednesday from 12:30 pm to 3pm, free junior computer class.From 1 pm to 4 pm, arrange community service, translate letters for members; arrange doctor’s appointment and JP signs and help elderly people fill in various forms. Every Thursday 10:30am to 1:30 pm, seniors social dance ball. Mr Shen teaches basic social dance: Ji Teba, Lumba and so on. Address: 98-104 Woodburn Rd, Berala 2141

Congratulations On The Successful Performance Of The Troupe Of New South Wales Multicultural Seniors Association On The Harmony Day

Yesterday was the Harmony Day that recorded community people and migrant voices booklet published, and recorded the Australian short films on the life of refugees. Our New South Wales Multicultural Seniors association Art Troupe was for the first time outside the show. The Waist Drum Dance and Qipao Model Show led by Ms Yao, the Sailor Dance led by Xiumei, the Tibetan Dance led by Zhang Guihua, the Double Dance led by Zhuge, the Happy Gathering Dance and the Jiangnan Dream Dance led by Aqin sisters. All the actors who participated in the show were enthusiastic, showing their most wonderful performances. They received the praise of the Western leadership. the leadership was surprised to ask: ‘Are you really seniors? Wow,it’s a wonderful show.’

Our association opened a door in the western circles through this performance for them. Ms Yao invited good photographers for this performance to be successful. Thanks to Ms Liangyi, Mr Cao, Mr Dahai Wu,Mr LI’an and Ms Wuyuehua for supporting this performance. Before this performance, some of them didn’t go to work for taking pictures of show. A waist drum dance actor took care of grandchildren to be the scene. A Qipao model had a fever, but she still attended the performance after having medicines. Ms Yao let her beautiful daughter Ms Songyun as the English host for this performance. She was very good,we found an English host. We also thank the makeup artist’s hard working. She was invited by Ms Yao. Through her hands our actors immediately appeared more young and beautiful. You were an unknown hero. Thanks for your help.

These arts groups joined in our MSA, making us powerful,like a tiger with wings. We were together shoulder to shoulder,back to back. We were preparing for the MSA fifth anniversary of the government registration ceremony. All MSA members would have the opportunity to participate in the joy and happiness of the celebration. New South Wales Multicultural Seniors Association Warmly Welcomed Chinese Premier Li Keqiang’s visit to Sydney

March 24th was the exiting day of all overseas Chinese in Sydney, and was also the happiest day for all the members and volunteers of MSA. On this day, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and his wife, Ms. Cheng Hong, visited Sydney, Australia. For the arrival of this day,the volunteer groups led by Ms. Qi Meiyun and Ms. Bai He who made a comprehensive and meticulous preparation. As one of the Chinese associations in Australia, MSA based on the elderly members. In this welcome event, our lovely members were the most grateful people, you all did very good.You were our strongest force of the association !

This day, the five-star red flag drifted with the wind, oblique wind and drizzling rain wet face. The members and volunteers on time arrived the welcome scene ,which was arranged by Bai He. They were wearing red uniforms that integrated into the red ocean with the bright flags and the red welcome posters. The MSA team was in order and the preparation was careful. Everyone sang “My Motherland”, expressing deep nostalgia of the motherland. In the seven and an half hours of waiting, 58 members and volunteers in red uniforms were self-disciplined and orderly, regardless of the layout of the scene, singing the national anthem, noon meal and withdrawal of cleaning, which showed the highest quality of overseas Chinese: warm and orderly; affectionate and sensible. Thank you to all members, your joining strengthened the ranks of the association. Thank you for giving us the most powerful supports in each event. Although our members had mostly entered into old age. But in traditional Chinese said: Old people may still cherish high aspirations. President of MSA Ms. Ge also thanked you to all members and volunteers. You were our family in MSA and also our strongest force of the association.

Finally, thanked to Ms. Tang, Ms. Qi Meiyun, Ms. Bai He, Ms. Yao Shimin as the representative of the volunteer group and performing arts groups for your hard work. Particularly outstanding in this activity. We practiced the commitments : friendship, mutual assistance and unity and we would continue dedicating our sincere love and a force to all members in MSA.

We wish our motherland prosperous and strong, and MSA sturdy and strong!

Warmly Congratulating NSW MSA On Strathfield Seniors Weekly Celebration Success

          

          

             

           

 

The celebration of the Strathfield Seniors Weekly, jointly organized by Strathfield Council and NSWMSA, was held at Strathfield town hall today. The scene can be described as grand ,warm,united and harmonious. More than 200 members of MSA came from different places in Sydney. And four new art groups joined in MSA, which Brought us wonderful performances.

At 9 o’clock in the morning, members were all in the hall. With the music starting, people danced cheerfully. Please dance and laugh freely. Today is yous seniors’ day. Strathfield council and MSA would give you a happy day! At 11:30 o’clock, members began to taste delicious cakes supplied by council. Then MSA President Ge made a speech. She said ‘ I wish all old friends happy and healthy every day! You will enjoy yourselves here today.’ Then she introduced all the MSA board members. She said ‘ The reason our association developed well is that all the board members use serious management, warm service and selfless dedication. Their efforts bore fruits. Thanks to them!’

Then performances were the last feast of today’s celebration. This was organized by Ms.Meiyun Qi. Such a magnificent celebration, applause! Every member felt amazing,so beautiful dancing.

Square Dance, Join Us

At 5 Pm, Strahtfield square was bustling! Cheerful music echoed in the square, people followed the beat to dance. The curious crowds out of the station stopped to see the dance. They had raised mobile phones to press the shutter. Their faces were full of surprises. Wow,Chinese aunts and Chinese square dance! You had finally come into Sydney!

This afternoon,president Ge and the members of MSA followed MS.Yin Yin dancing in the square with music. A group of young people joined the dance team,dancing happily and excitedly. ‘Friends, what are you waiting for? Come on ,join us! Join in the ocean of joy. Dance in your own style!’ Thanks to Ms Yin Yin’s beautiful dance, selfless dedication!

Strathfield Square Dance Opening Ceremony

On tne afternoon of February 24,2017, at Strathfield square the opening ceremony of Chinese square dance was grandly held by MSA and Strathfield town hall. President Ge and Governor of strathfield town hall spoke at the opening ceremony and they wished the show successful.

The first play was waist drum dance by Shimin Yao from our association. Their performance was exciting and wonderful, and really pocketed the eye. A lot of people held a cell phone to shoot non-stop. Then next plays were the empty bamboo dragon ,sailor dance,empty bamboo two turn and line dance.All of them won applause.The Governor also joined in our line dance.Let’s wish the Chinese square dance welcomed in Australia, and throughout the world.
