fund-raising event and grandparents’ day to celebrate

We wish to thank the Cumberland Council for providing financial support which has helped maintain an active community life by enriching the cultural activities of immigrant middle-aged and senior citizens The New South Wales Multicultural Seniors Association organized a fund-raising event and grandparents’ day to celebrate literary activities.
It was held on October 14, 2017, from 10am to 3pm. The “Event Reps Presentation and Celebration of Grandparents’ Day” was scheduled at the Cumberland Town Hall Auditorium.

Some very important guests were in attendence:

First, the meeting was addressed by the chairman of the association, Agathia Ge Yinglan; Mr. Wang Guozhong, Mayor Cumberland. The leaders have made speeches and congratulations.
Next, the Drum team, the Qui’po model team, the national dance troupe and the sailors have done a wonderful performance. Russian Chinese team also made a bilingual performance of “permanent memories” chorus; Xinjiang folk dance “Dolan”.
After the performance, a certificate of honour was given to the contributing art troupe by Mr Greg Cummings, Mayor of Cumberland.
Winners are: Yao Shimin, Zhang Guihua, A Qing, Zhang Han, Yang Ying and Li Yanhua.
President Agathia Ge Yinglan presented the honorary certificate to the leader of the conference, Zhang Xiumei.
The congress breaked for lunch in a harmonious and friendly atmosphere with nearly 400 people dining. Delicious meals were provided by Lu Wei, Wu Guilan, Wu Guiyun, Jiang Guiying, Yu Jie, Xu Yueli and other members of the Association, and their hard work was acknowledged.

After lunch, President Agathia Ge Yinglan announced the beginning of grandparents’ day celebration, and wish all grandparents to relax and sing! There was beautiful music, dancing, and singing, creating a very happy and emotional event.
The celebration of “Grandparents’ Day” is one of the largest events the Association has put together since its founding. It marks the development and growth of the Association of Multicultural Seniors. It also shows that our social influence and important role have reached new heights in the community.
The success of this party was made possible from the strong leadership of our president and benefited from many organisers and staff members like Qi Meiyun, Lu Wei and Michelle Cher, who worked tirelessly. Everyone from different ethnic groups, different and social backgrounds were in attendance.
Our impact has allowed senior members of the community to interact with each other, build new lasting friendships and escape any loneliness they might be experiencing. The physical and mental activities provided help to maintain a healthy lifestyle. This will surely guide us to create a better environment for seniors!

We are thankful for our community, and we especially are thankful for our beautiful life here in multicultural Australia.

Mid-Autumn Festival activities

1. September 19, Cheongsam dance team held in Regents Park auditorium with “Thanksgiving you” party. Cheongsam captain Yang Ying chaired the party. President Ge, Qi Meiyun and other directors and the Goodwill Mission, Zhang Han, Yao Shimin and other invited to attend the event.
2. On September 28, the model team performed a wonderful performance at the Bankstown Salvation Army’s Mid-Autumn Festival celebration. President Ge Yinglan, Director General of Chinese Wind Hu, Chairman of Northeast Association Jiang Wentai, Vice Chairman Wang Ani of Australian Zhanjiang Association, Director of Goodwill Mission, Head of Zhang Han, and Bodyguard Team attended the party.
3. September 30, The Goodwill Mission made an opening performance at the charity performance. The New South Wales Multicultural Seniors Association made a contribution. Thank you, Zhang Han.
4. September 30, drum team performance. 11 player’s debuted enthusiastically! The audience felt very shocked! The community also wrote a thank you letter for them.
5. Yao Shimin led the team led by cheongsam and drum team to vigorously promote the significance of our association, and expand our social influence. In order to create a good image of the Association and better serve the elderly has made a positive contribution.
6. October 4, Goodwill Mission held a celebration party. President Ge, Mei-yun, community leaders, Zhang Han, model team, and the drum team were invited to participate in the party. 10 drummers started the drum opening.
7. All throughout there were sailors dance classes and national standard dance classes, which was well-organized by the Sailor Dance Company.
8. Sailors Dance Class have 2 activities a week. The national standard class also invited Gu teachers who won many gold medals and silver medals at home and abroad to give lectures personally. Students participated actively. Effectively enriched everyone’s elderly life!
Thank you very much, President Ge Yinglan in these rich and varied activities that have been provided. They play an important role and are a prime example of your influence and command in a leadership role! Her mother had also just passed away, but she suppressed this grief, smiling to everyone. Every time she attended the party and made a speech, give everyone showed great encouragement and warmth!

In recent years, square dancing has become more and more popular among the elderly. It is simple and easy to learn, a good source of physical fitness, and an elegant style for us to open up a vast new world. Supported by the Strathfield council, The New South Wales Seniors Association proudly incorporates people from all ethnic groups, and we have also proudly incorporated this stylish dance into our community program. The MSA holds a regular square dance ball every Friday night to enrich our spiritual life, build friendships, listen to beautiful music and perform an elegant dance. It also attracts countless passer-by’s and students, who cannot help but join our dance!

MSA Was Pleased to Get the Activities’ Funds of the Cumberland Government

Dear members,

Hope everybody was good. Tell a good news to everybody. Today our New South Wales Multicultural Seniors Association got Cumberland government funding. This is inseparable of our membership efforts. Open our website you’ll see all kinds of activities are frequent and all works are in the perfect order . Every year our working summery does very reach the designated position and every year’s financial report is clear. We must accord to the budget plan of Mr Ziggy helped us to do to use this activity funds carefully. We try to develop our MSA and  promote the cultural exchanges in Auburn region through the government funding, and make sure the funds could play the role of its application. Dear members, let’s be together to try our best to build our MSA better and more seniors get more benefits from our efforts. Wish our all members and directors happy.

China’s and Russian’s descendant culture preserved the Association’s 1st anniversary

     

Today’s China’s and Russian’s descendant culture preserved the Association’s 1st anniversary was carried out in a joyous, cheerful and friendly mood. Member of the Cabramatta Council Mr Nick Lalich MP highlighted the composition of our association and the official registration of action in the council. On behalf of the government, he supported us and continued to unearth the culture of the descendants of Russia and china. Everyone was well dressed for the celebration, embracing one another, getting to know new friends, catching up with old ones, fascinating performance, uplifting the atmosphere in the conference room. Nadja’s daughter Sofia donated a phone card worth AUD$30 to each of the 7 parents. The party resumed after everyone finished the birthday cake. One will not be able to separate the young from the old as everyone is so relaxed and let go totally to enjoy this special occasion, sharing the joy. Perfect composition. We found happiness, joy and friendship within the organization. We can also make a historical contribution to the cultural preservation of our Chinese and Russian descendants. Let’s join hands and look forward to the coming birthday party next month!

Shui Bing Group Winter theme Ball achieved great success

 

Since the successful conclusion of our 5th Year Anniversary Celebration, NSW Multicultural Senior Association hit new heights once again.

 

The event was held at Burwood dance hall on the 26th June 2017, 2.30pm. Chairwoman Ge Ying Lan was present as well. Mei Yun was tasked with decorating the dance hall as well as receivables with the assistance of the volunteers. 2 troops, one from Voice of Beijing and another from Hao Nian Hua, led by Han Chang came forward to add spice to the event.

 

Representative from Falconaire, our main sponsor the the event was invited as our Guest of Honor. Zhang Xiu Mei presented 3 Outstanding Contribution awards to 3 of our members with prominent contributions. Lastly, the ball was

 

There were a total of 5 performance including Tibetan Dance (Zhuo Ma), Russian Dance (Happy Senior Citizens), Cheongsam Show (Tai Hu Mei), Korean Dance as well as Shui Bing Dance. The Russian Dance which included Chairwoman Ge stole the show. This being Chairwoman Ge’s first ever on stage performance, won the applause of the audiences. Shui Bing Dance make its brilliant appearance as usual. More than 20 performers dressed in traditional Shui Bing costume dance in uniform style. The crowd exploded in jubilation.

 

Finally, the ball was filled with colors as guests dressed in flamboyant costumes rise and dance in a happy mood. Everyone was talking pictures as laughter filled the whole ballroom. Even after the event concluded, happiness was still in the air.

 

Zhang Xiu Mei mentioned ‘As compared to the event held last November, this was definitely a more successful one as previously, we’re alone but presently, we’re achieving more, we now have a home, NSW Multicultural Senior Association is our HOME. Chairwoman Ge played the role of a great mother, showing love, care and concern to each and everyone of us, all the credits we received till date goes to the Association.’ Chairwoman Ge mentioned ‘From all the aesthetic photos, dance enjoyment, I believed everyone had a great time. So come on guys, come to our Association and share our happy times together!’

Distinctive, Elegance, Positive energy are some of the words to describe Chairwoman Ge’s Russian Dance performance. The spirit is just too good. Yao Shi Ming led with Elegance. Gorgeous Cheongsam Show, Fascinating Folks Dance, Resounding Shui Bing Dance. All these really bring out the brilliance of the Association. Amateur dance troop as such are really rare these days.

 

The Association gathered a huge group of gifted beauties. I’m delighted. Hereby wishing the Association to another resounding success in the next event!

 

I had a unforgettable day bagged with happy and beautiful memories. Xiu Mei, Deputy Head Da Wei, Shi Ming and all the personnel involved deserved all the credits.I’m very grateful. Special Thanks to reporter whom took so many beautiful pictures, allowing us to live young, feel young and brings out the colors in our lives. Once again, Thank you very much!

 

I would like to Thank Chairwoman Ge. I’ve finally managed to witness your performance up close today, enjoy the beauty and elegance of your Russian Dance. I’ve only heard about your talent, Elegance and Qualities from Xiu Mei and Shi Ming previously. These memories will forever be engrave in my heart and mind.

NSW Multicultural Seniors Association’s annual celebration of the successful conclusion of its fifth anniversary

Sydney, May 30 (Reuters) – The fifth anniversary of the meeting was held by the NSW Multicultural Senior Association (hereinafter referred to as “the Friends of the Union”) Dressing ceremony concluded in Sydney’s Malikville City Hall.  Australia’s new state legislator Wang Guozhong, Salvation Army town captain Lieutenant Zhou Bin, Metro Assist on behalf of Singh Tuling, Northeast Association President Cui Shangze, Union President Ge Yinglan and all members of the Union, members and nearly three hundred middle-aged Chinese and other ethnic groups participated in activities.

 

Ge Yinglan began the celebration with a welcome speech. She expressed heartfelt Thanks to guests and members whom attended this special event. She mentioned that through the 5 years since the Union was formed, the creation of 6 event venues via application to the local government for majority of middle-aged Chinese with no English language background and to help set up a free translation of letters, doctors appointment, Signature of the Gentleman

, Computer classes and other projects, not only to facilitate the elderly in the Australian life, but also reduce the burden of middle-aged friends’ children. In the fifth anniversary celebration, she thanked the NSW government and the sponsoring Chinese entrepreneurs for their help and support, and she hopes that the Association would be able to inject more positive energy to more middle-aged Chinese living in Australia in the nearby future, so as to create a healthy and happy living environment for them here.

Wang Guozhong said that he was honoured to be invited to attend the fifth anniversary celebration of the Friends of the Union and wished everyone Health during this Dragon Boat festival. He highlighted that 5 years ago, with just 10 members, the Union started with basically nothing. Bit by bit, we apply for funding from the government for activities/events. We’ve certainly came along to where we are today. He is very happy to see language is no longer a concern for so many elderly Chinese in Australia today. He hopes that Union will continue to carry forward the positive energy to help its members, serve more middle-aged friends in Australia, and hope that NSW governments can provide more support and help for Union.

 

Chairman of the Global Hakka Chongzheng Association of Australia Luo Hanhao made a speech

Chairman of the Global Hakka Chongzheng Association of Australia Luo Hanhao, Wang Weikhang, Singh Turing, Cui Shangze and other guests attended the event also came to speak, congratulating the Union on its fifth anniversary. They unanimously deliver their blessings for the Union’s future success in providing services and help to more Australian middle-aged Chinese people, enriching their lives.

During the celebration, Members of the union as well as art groups from major literary presented a wonderful feast for the guests. Of which, a unique cheongsam dance show, very traditional Chinese characteristics of the waist drum dance and double dance “Butterfly Lovers” butterfly, have won the audience of thunderous applause and cheers. There are also dressed in the celebration and Lucky draws. Participants felt rewarding and time well spent.

First meeting of the Preparatory Group for the Chinese-Russian Subsequent of Australia Cultural Preservation Association

The first meeting of the preparatory group for the Cultural Preservation Association of Chinese and Russian descendants in Australia was held in May 20th. The meeting began at 11:30 am,speech by the Australian government official Nick Lalich MP,  and Mr. Nick Lanlich highly praised our volunteers who had made for society’s selfless dedication. he represented the government support us to do the work for Chinese -Russian culture and support our contribution to the cultural heritage of the Chinese -Russia descendants. Western Sydney University doctor Genia introduced he made work for the Chinese-Russian descendants Cultural reservations for several years. And he expressed willingness to establish Chinese-Russian descendants Cultural Preservation Association Office under teacher Zhang Jinfu’s help and support. The VIP from China, the chairman of the board of Inner Mongolia Hulun Buir prairie – Baer group: Ms. Qu XiuqinQu Xiu support ed and praised that we can witness social and historical legacy. Xinjiang well-known painter Mr. Liu Kaiji also came to support our preparatory activities. Director GE conveyed to all the meeting about the help and support about Zhang Jifu to us. The meeting was held in a friendly and harmonious atmosphere. Every one prepared a variety of Russian pastries, Chinese dish, and Xinjiang barbecue for the meeting. Finally the art troupe of NSW MSA showed excellent performances for the conference. The conference finished successfully after group photos. Thanks again for the support and encouragement of Mr. Zhang Jinfu!
