Tuesday, 21st January,2020 from 1:30 to 5:00 pm, NSW Multicultural
Seniors Association hosted a unique, disguised costume party in Auburn Town
Hall. The band of the Association performed on stage, and the scene was very
exciting, reflecting the lively scene of overseas Chinese like the people of
the motherland singing and dancing to celebrate the festival. The red lantern
at the venue were high, and the colored balls fluttered with joy and peace.
The Spring Festival dressing party kicked off with the national anthem of Australia! The dance “Gathering Together” brought by the Jasmine Art Troupe lit the rainbow of the festival. Following President Ge’s speech, summarizing the brilliant achievements of NSW Multicultural Seniors Association in 2019, she said: 2019 is an extraordinary year of harvest and an unforgettable year. Sydney Government Home Care Agency Melbar “Celebrating the grandparents’ cultural performances and luncheon” at Granville Town Hall – 10 Carlton St, Granville On Sunday 3rd November 2019.
At 10 o’clock in the morning, the hostesses announced the celebration, followed by the speech by Melbar General Manager Fred Cloos. The President Ge Yinlan of NSW Multicultural Seniors Association gave a speech, appreciated Melbar’s achievements and shared Melbar’s perfect service. The President Gui Guilan of Beijing Time Bank delivered a speech and the President Han Zhilan of the Sino-Russian Cultural Heritage Association delivered a speech. The old “Mai” painter also presented “Aldan Melbar” to the “Peach Bird Chinese Painting”.
10:25 Cultural performances began; first was the Beijing Song Dance for “The Earth’s Spine” by the Song Ching Ling Foundation Art Troupe. The president Ge Yin Lan of the NSW Multicultural Seniors Association also enthusiastically improvised to use the Chinese-Russian bilingual solo “Light” (“Ayisha” guitar accompaniment). In order to encourage community activities, at the October 2019 Fairfield City Council Services Committee Meeting, it was resolved that Council make a donation of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) from the Language and Cultural Awareness Fund to the NSW Multicultural Seniors Association Inc. towards our English language classes and social activities for seniors. The Fairfield Council will provide a subsidy for the venue of the Cabramatta Activity Center! The ceremony was attended by President Ge and the volunteers of our organisation at 6:30 pm on 22nd October. In recent years, Cabramatta activity under the personal leadership of President Ge, with the enthusiastic support of many teachers and volunteers, has carried out various forms and colorful activities, which have been loved and praised by middle-aged and elderly people. It has become a big family that many old and middle-aged people yearn for. It is a leading soldier who is active in the community.

The party was held on last Saturday at the Grand Palace Hotel in Sydney.
