NSW Multicultural Seniors Association held “Celebrating Grandparents’ Day & Performing Arts and Dances” at 65 Homebush Rd Strathfield Tow Hall on 24th October from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. The guests and hundreds of members gathered together for the grand event. The laughter and laughter are filled with a festive atmosphere. At 9:30 in the morning, the host “Ren DanPing” announced the even starting. First, president Ge Yin Lan of NSW Multicultural Seniors Association gave a speech. She briefly described the recent work of the Association for continuous progress and good results. Awarded “Outstanding Contribution Chinese Organisation Award” by the Ambassador of China in Australia Consulate-General, Cheng JingYe. Thank you for your support and care! The “Dragon Flying Phoenix Dance” art group of the Association dedicated to the cheongsam show “Red Jujube Tree in Hometown”, Dress up the beautiful, step by step on the stage, showing the charm of Chinese traditional culture and art and cheongsam style. Solo, male and female duo and chorus, dance with beautiful singing，dances, cheongsam dance, sailor dance, waist dance, fan dance, Xinjiang dance, Tibetan dance, Beijing song dance, graceful dance, elegant and melodious. As well as a keyboard show, the sound of the piano is flowing and the sound is sweet. The Beijing Song Dance “Chinese Spine…” performed by the Song Ching Ling Foundation Art Troupe with singing and dancing is soft and soft, inherits Chinese culture and promotes the national quintessence of Beijing opera. The performances are all pleasing to the eye, amazing. Singing and dancing screamed, cheering and applauding. The finale song is such as solo, duet, and chorus of “I Love You China” and “I and My Motherland”. The song is sweet and mellow, and it reminds the overseas traveller of the great motherland. Affectionately, the motherland of the motherland prospered and prospered again.
The climax was repeated, cheers and applause, and the performance was a complete success.Local Strathfield Council Cr Karen Pensabrne came to congratulate and appreciated the outstanding achievements of our Association and President Ge in recent years. For thanks to President Ge and the Association, she cordially awarded the award certificate to outstanding volunteer workers who worked hard. Cr Karen Pensabrne when praising to friends of the Association and President Ge, humorously said: “You are middle-aged of the Association? I don’t think you are middle-aged, you can sing and dance, happy and lively, mentality and posture. Not old. After I retired from government positions, I will also participate in your ranks.” Her words stirred up the joyful applause of the venue.
