The Australian Chinese and Friendly people hosted by the Australian Associations celebrated the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

The Australian Chinese and Friendly people hosted by the Australian Associations celebrated the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The party was held on last Saturday at the Grand Palace Hotel in Sydney. The Chinese Ambassador to Australia Cheng Jingye, Consul General of the Chinese Consulate General in Sydney Gu Xiaojie, Deputy Speaker of the New House of Lords Shaoquett Moselmane, Chinese Embassy and Consul General of the Australian Embassy Yan Changxia, Sydney City Councilor Guo Yaowen, Chinese Consul General in Sydney Consul General Mi Bin, Consul Sun Yantao, NSW Former Governor Bashir and over 600 people from NSW and oversea Chinese and Friendly people attended the event. The atmosphere of the party was very warm. The Executive Vice President of the Australian Association of Australian Associations, Shen Tie and Yang Chang hosted the event. The party kicked off in the sound of drum music and the sound of the Australian and Chinese national anthems. Ambassador Cheng Jingye, Shaoquett Moselmane, Chairman Wu Changmao, and Guo Yaowen City Councilor delivered a speech for the party. On the evening of the 70th anniversary of the National Day of China was held to present a certificate of appreciation and a contribution ceremony, a cake-cutting ceremony and a souvenir giving ceremony.

Ambassador Cheng Jingye, Ambassador of Australia, presented an Outstanding Contribution Award to the New South Wales Seniors Association for the Advancement of Old and Middle Aged, which is a greatest support and encouragement for us. Our Association lead by the president of Ge Yinlan will let more new migrants, new compatriots joining our team and continue to work hard to create a better life and learning environment for Australian Chinese and Overseas Chinese in Australia.
