Yin lan Ge,President NSW Multicultural Seniors Association was awarded the honorary title of Excellent Community Service by the Municipal Government


Good news: On 26th January 2019 the National Day in Australia, the Fairfield City government Council held a commendation ceremony at the Prairiewood Leisure Centre to recognize outstanding volunteers who are actively serving the community.

I am really honored to be the president of the New South Wales Multicultural Seniors Association: Yin lan Ge, who was awarded the honorary title of Excellent Community Service by the Municipal Government. This is the glory of our Association. Congratulations to the President Yin Lan Ge, she is worthy of the name! We must learn from her spirit, quality and style and better serve the Chinese and overseas Chinese to provide love and service!

The New South Wales Multicultural Seniors Association has always guided the Chinese and overseas Chinese in the middle and old age to go out of their homes and integrate into society and live a healthy life. Participate in the discussion and exchange of community construction planning, hold various forms of celebrations and condolence performances. Our Association has daily activities and is praised by various government departments… After that, we will continue to work hard to integrate more Chinese and overseas Chinese into the Australian community and participate in community activities. The reelection leadership of NSW Multicultural Seniors Association Little Red Riding Hood Group report;

   This morning at 11.30 Little Red Riding Hood leadership team meeting hosted by Meiyun Qi at Regents Park Community Hall.

   The meeting accepted the request resignation from Mr. Suo Fan. Mrs. Ge, Mr. Su Fan, and Qi Meiyun recommended successors. The members of the leading group at the meeting unanimously approved and agreed to the new successor. At the same time, the work of the previous leadership group was completed.

This leadership reorganization meeting was held in an atmosphere of friendship and unity. The group was re-elected. They have no disputes, no mutual attacks, no damaged to the reputation of their predecessors! Instead of the former eagerly recommended the next leader, to help the successor familiar with the work and develop the next work plan. Really stand the last shift! Make the successor work smoothly! This is true selfless dedication!

    The two leaders handed over their work under the witness of everyone. Lei Huang, the successor said: “I will live up to expectations and lead the Little Red Riding Hood Group to achieve better results in the big family of NSW Multicultural Seniors Association!”

      Finally, President Ge said: I am very grateful to the support of the previous leadership team, to commend the selfless dedication of the two leaders and to praise them as a model for the Chinese community! I hope that the new leaders will boldly innovate and lead Little Red Riding Hood to be much better under NSW Multicultural Seniors Association!

Announcement on the formation of Little Red Riding Hood Management Agency

 I. Little Red Riding Hood leadership organization and functions

The Little Red Riding Hood leadership is made up of two levels of organization:

The first is the working committee:

 1. The working committee is mainly composed of the following members: the first is the group leader of each level group, the second is the expert with special skills, and the third is the member of the Little Red Riding Hood leadership team.The working committee is the grassroots leadership organization of Little Red Riding Hood. Members represent the majority of the people participating in the activities of Little Red Riding Hood. They are the organizers and participants of the activities of Little Red Riding Hood. They also know the actual situation of the activities and any members of Little Red Riding Hood. They will also be responsible for the decision of Little Red Riding Hood’s major decisions (such as the separation and dissolution of Little Red Riding Hood, the major adjustment of organizational structure, the revision of long-term development strategy, etc.) and the implementation tasks of various resolutions.

2. The members of the working committee are nominated, selected or dismissed by the leadership of the Little Red Riding Hood.

  • Huang Lei: Responsible for the overall management of the Little Red Riding Hood team, Little Red Riding Hood Hurstville group.
  • Gao Hong: Responsible for the work of the style and learning block including: mobile classroom, English learning, calligraphy and painting, Tai Chi, table tennis, photography, etc.

NSW Multicultural Seniors Association Christmas celebration On 22nd December 2018

NSW Multicultural Seniors Association, under the leadership of president Ge, vice president Hu and executive president Dou, carefully planned by Director Liang Yi, Teacher Zhu and Zhou at Strathfield Town Hall a colorful and unique Christmas celebration was held.

The activity is divided into three parts; theatrical performances, dining and dances. The event began: President Ge sent a festive greeting to all the staff and everyone for wishing good health and good luck! Then the literary performance began: thanks to president Yuan Ye came, thanks to the beautiful singing of the beautiful girl Tingting Gao to add a new color to the festival, thanks to the recording of the live video for the show, photographer Mr. Zeyang Bao, teacher Li An and teacher Zhang. Through this performance, everyone reflected the art teams that level and taste have been greatly improved and each has its own characteristics. Cumberland Volunteer Community Sector Networking Forum

Last night, December 11th, 2018, the Cumberland Council organised volunteer training at the Holroyd Centre Merrylands, focusing on the governance of volunteer organisations and raising participants’ explanations on how to manage volunteer organisations and organisations. This shows that the government’s emphasis on volunteer work is also an effective way to continuously improve the quality of volunteers.Special thanks to the Cumberland Council for providing training services for volunteers. It is helpful and inspiring to improve the participants’ work on volunteer organisations and better volunteer work. The meeting explained the duties and requirements of the presidents: every president who receives government funding must understand government policies and In the chapter, all government funds must be transferred for special purposes and reported in a timely manner. Volunteer groups must act in accordance with the rules,understand policies, and understand the law. The secretary must make a record of each meeting and timely convey the spirit of the government department to the members. The accountant must make a clear account and keep all the receipts of the accounts. Each receipt must be signed by the president. All financial management procedures must be performed. It must be monthly, quarterly, and yearly. Fortunately, all of these require our Friendship Association to act in accordance with the regulations, and the functions of the organisation are sound. The Cumberland Volunteer Community Sector Networking Forum (CVCSNF) is designed to bring together representatives from volunteer-run community organisations operating in Cumberland including CALD community groups, sporting groups and religious leaders. The aim is to provide networking, partnership and collaboration opportunities for community organisations in the Cumberland Local Government Area who do not receive regular funding for their work.  The forum will explore the following: The roles and responsibilities of community leaders. Assess whether there are good governance practices in an organisation. The role of the Board/leadership in planning. Identify the organisation’s legal structure and potential Board implications. Determine areas and situations where there are conflicts of interest. How to oversee and monitor the finances. How to run effective AGMs.

Granville Ballroom Dance Party arranged carefully by the executive president Dou. The songs are flying and the sound of the piano is staggered. The dance party with the band will bring the dancers into the fairy tale world… The dance begins, the moving saints marches, the atmosphere of the dance hall is pushed to the climax and dancers enjoy the platform built by NSW Multicultural Seniors Association. Seniors Christmas in Cumberland

Christmas is fast approaching and to celebrate, Cumberland Council will be hosting Seniors Christmas Lunches. The lunches will include a delicious two course meal and the musical works of Christian Guerrero –entertainer and showman.                         NSW Multicultural Seniors Association was invited to participate in 2018 Christmas party organized by the Cumberland Council. At the meeting, Deputy Mayor Clr.Glenn Elmore welcomes people from all workers. I wish you all a happy holiday. Here, the NSW Multicultural Seniors Association especially thanked to the Cumberland Council for the supports and friendship . At the party, the singers danced close to the guests and celebrated the festive atmosphere. The party ended in the cheerful singing of the various nationalities. Conference on disaster relief donations held in the New South Wales parliament house

At 12 noon today 20th November 2018, the president of NSW Multicultural Seniors Association, Yinglan Ge, was invited to participate in the commendation conference on disaster relief donations held in the New South Wales parliament house. The conference was hosted by ACYEC Leo Wei MP, The Hon Scott Farlow ML, Affected Area Farmer Representative Tim Leahy & Cameron Levick, Buy a Bale Chairman Wayne Thomas attended the conference and delivered a speech.

Leo Wei MP of ACYEC thanked President Ge for taking the time to come to the parliament to participate in the activities. I would also like to thank all the members of the fundraising and our MSA volunteers. No everyone’s efforts and not working hard, we can’t achieve this achievement today. There is no such thing as a thousand miles. Thank you everyone!

Members of the Wedding preparatory committee and the volunteers carefully coordinated, clearly defined the division of labor, and worked tirelessly to set up a warm wedding celebration and performances.

From 8 to 10 am, “Soufan and Anna” organized that 20 golden and silver wedding couples and their family members were taken photography by professional photographer Dong. 10:30~11:00 every five couples come to the stage to introduce their marriage and their love for a lifetime by the hosts, exchange rings and so on. “Yin Feng, He Qing” represented of wedding couples to give a speech and thanked the Association for caring love of the elderly. The wedding couples’ grandchildren on the scene performed “the Jasmine” dance to congratulate grandparents on their golden and silver wedding anniversary, happiness and longevity!

At 11:30, the performance was reported to Cumberland Council. Following children’s “jasmine” dance in the warm-up area, the Jasmine Art Team of NSW MSA dances “The Land of the Motherland” unveiled the venue. The songs are flowing and the passion is flying. The three-voiced “Savannah Love Song” brings us to the green wild grassland of the motherland, “the wind blows the grass and sees the cattle and sheep”. Cheongsam dance, sailor dance, waist drum inspiration, four-step shape, graceful dance, elegant and melodious. All of them are pleasing to the eye and amazing. The songs screamed with the dance, cheering and applauding. The cheongsam dance “Watery and Gentle Water” shows the oriental charm and demonstrates the profoundness of the splendid Chinese traditional culture. The grand finale was special performed “Love Brothers Going to the South” by the Rhyme of Maple Art Team.

After lunch at 12:30, the host announced behalf of the Association this is the first time for wedding anniversary of the elderly. We will continue to hold such celebrations every year, caring for warmth and touching.
The wedding couples in paired start dancing with the beautiful music into the venue. The family members stepped into the dance floor then all the congregations stepped into the dance floor, interacting and dancing. The atmosphere was warm and euphemistic.

The conference represented the sponsor’s loves prize to all the attendance.

At 3 pm, all the staff and actors were divided into two rows to farewell to the guests and Wedding couples. Today “Grandparents’ Day Wedding anniversary and Literary Reporting Performance” came to a successful conclusion.
It is unforgettable celebration of Golden and silver weddings anniversary with singing and dancing, highlighting the love and chasing the dream of the future.

The New South Wales Multicultural Seniors Association held their second hometown disaster relief event

The New South Wales Multicultural Seniors Association held their second hometown disaster relief event on October 7 from 4:30pm to 6:30pm in the Granville Town Hall.

At the event, Anna, head of Art teams was self-involved; the literary and art teams actively cooperated to work overtime to participate in the charity event. The committee members, members of logistics and dance groups actively undertake volunteer’s services.
The Association also organized a fundraising event:
President Ge and Secretary-General took the lead in buying donations tickets at first. DTV Australia’s East View Zhang totaled 20 tickets for a donation of $100.

The team’s donation is accorded to the total tickets purchased as following:
A art teams: Anna Art Group (60 tickets) donated $300, Zhang Xiumei Sailor Dance Art Team (53 tickets) donated $265, Little Red Riding Hood team (43 tickets) donated For $215, the Yang Ying Waist Dance Art Team (30 tickets) donated $150, the model art team, the logistics team and the dance team and venue team also completed the ticketing indicators.
B and C art teams also participated in the fundraising activities.

During the disaster relief performance, the chairman of the Australian-Chinese team, Wei Zheng on behalf of the government, presented awards to our teams that made outstanding contributions to the disaster relief: the New South Wales Multicultural Seniors Association donated a total of $1500, the Sino-Russian Cultural Retention Association donated a total of $400 and the Beijing Voice Chorus donated a total of $110.

At the same time, various literary and art groups performed a variety of programs. The activities were full of passion and love, bringing greetings to the people in the disaster area and demonstrating that we are acting with practical actions. In the “Lianyouhui Fengjing Art Team”, “Happy Drums” kicked off, male and female voice solo, duet and trio group singing, chorus, poetry reading and euphemism. Modern dance, classical dance and folk dance, cheongsam dance, sailor dance, group fan dance and waist inspiration are graceful dance, elegant and melodious. The group of the Sino-Russian Cultural Retention Association sang “Lights” and “Katyusha”. The “Night Shanghai” and “Cheongsam Beauty” of the cheongsam dance show the oriental charm and the profoundness of the splendid Chinese traditional culture. Finally, in the song “Friendship for a long time and unforgettable present” from Golden Age Art Troupe, Association sent love for the second hometown disaster relief performance ended successfully.
